GAME UPDATE
Growing Trinkets inside your house just became much faster! Two new potions have arrived in Taming.io: the Elixir of Verdant Dawn and the Dew of Genesis.
Both potions can instantly grow a selected Trinket seed, allowing you to harvest its reward without waiting for the plant to mature. However, their chances of producing powerful Trinkets are very different, so choose your potion carefully.
Some Trinkets begin as seeds collected from special plants found throughout the different biomes. Normally, these seeds must be planted in a Plant Plot inside your house and watered until they finish growing.
The new Trinket potions let you skip this waiting period. Select a planted seed, use one of the potions, and the plant will grow instantly, immediately revealing the Trinket it produced.
These potions do not replace the seed: you must still explore the biomes, collect one, and plant it in your house before using them.
The Elixir of Verdant Dawn is the standard option for instantly growing a selected Trinket seed.
It is mainly designed to save time. The resulting Trinket will usually be Level I, but the potion still offers a small chance of producing a stronger version.
| Trinket Level | Chance |
| Level I | 95% |
| Level II | 4.5% |
| Level III | 0.5% |
The Elixir of Verdant Dawn is ideal when you want to harvest several seeds quickly and do not mind receiving mostly standard-level Trinkets.
The Dew of Genesis is the more powerful option. It also grows the selected seed instantly, but greatly improves the quality of the resulting Plant Trinket.
Unlike the Elixir of Verdant Dawn, the Dew of Genesis guarantees at least a Level II Trinket. It also offers a significant chance of producing Level III, and even a very rare chance of obtaining an exceptional Level IV result.
| Trinket Level | Chance |
| Level II | 90% |
| Level III | 9.5% |
| Level IV | 0.5% |
The Dew of Genesis is best saved for valuable or difficult-to-find seeds, especially when you are trying to create the strongest possible build for one of your favorite Tamons.
Your choice depends on what you need from the seed.
Use the Elixir of Verdant Dawn when:
- You mainly want to skip the growing time.
- You have several copies of the same seed.
- A Level I Trinket is already useful for your build.
- You want a small chance of receiving Level II or III.
Use the Dew of Genesis when:
- The seed is rare or difficult to replace.
- You are searching for a high-level Trinket.
- You want to guarantee at least Level II.
- You are willing to use a more valuable potion for better odds.
Normally, planted seeds must be watered within a limited time. If a seed is neglected, it is lost and produces a Spiteweed instead of its intended Trinket.
By growing the seed instantly, these potions remove the risk of forgetting to water it. They are especially useful for players who cannot visit their house regularly or do not want to organize their playtime around plant timers.
Higher-level Trinkets provide stronger versions of their effects. A better Goliath Berry may activate its healing more often, while upgraded elemental Trinkets can become more reliable or more powerful on pets of the matching type.
The new potions therefore do more than save time: they can help you obtain stronger equipment and complete your ideal three-Trinket combinations much faster.
