GAME UPDATE
Some Trinkets cannot be grown from ordinary seeds. They must be earned by facing the most powerful creatures in Taming.io: the biome bosses.
These special Trinkets are inspired by the bosses themselves and can grant your Tamons effects based on their signature abilities.
When a biome boss is defeated, there is a chance for a Trinket Chest to appear.
This chest may contain a rare Trinket connected to the defeated boss. Unlike the Trinkets grown from seeds, these items allow ordinary Tamons to borrow part of a boss’s power.
Defeating the boss does not guarantee that the chest will appear, so obtaining one of these Trinkets may require several successful fights.
The first boss Trinket is the Heart of the Forest Trent, obtained by defeating Trent, the Forest biome boss.
When equipped, it gives the Tamon a chance to summon a Vampiric Thornbush, one of Trent’s signature abilities.
The Thornbush attacks nearby enemies and drains their life, bringing part of the Forest Boss’s dangerous battlefield control to the pet carrying the Trinket.
The Heart of the Forest Trent can be equipped on different pets, but its effect is stronger on Plant-type Tamons.
For the best possible result, combine it with a Plant pet that can remain close to enemies and repeatedly trigger the Trinket.
If you want to obtain the Heart of the Forest Trent, you will first need to defeat Trent. Bring strong equipment, healing supplies, and pets capable of surviving its Plant-based attacks.
The Trentwood Ring is another Plant-themed Trinket connected to the Forest Trent. It grants the Tamon’s bite a vampirism effect, converting part of the damage dealt into healing.
This makes it especially useful on aggressive pets that attack frequently, as every successful bite can help them recover health and remain in combat for longer. The effect is even stronger when the Ring is equipped on a Plant-type Tamon, making it an excellent choice for durable Plant builds.
While the Heart of the Forest Trent allows a Tamon to summon a Vampiric Thornbush, the Trentwood Ring focuses directly on the pet itself, turning its regular bites into a reliable source of sustain.
Playing with allies can make the battle safer, but remember that the Trinket Chest only has a chance to appear. You may need to challenge the boss several times before receiving the reward you are looking for.
For now, Trent is the first biome boss connected to the Trinket system. However, the system opens the door for other bosses to receive their own unique rewards in the future.
Each new boss Trinket could allow your pets to inherit a different legendary ability, creating even more powerful and unusual builds.
