Have you missed the Slime
GAME UPDATE
A strange new creature is now hiding in the Housing system: the Slime! Unlike most pets in Taming.io, the Slime does not appear in the wild. It can only spawn inside your house, making it one of the most unusual pets to obtain.
But don’t let its gooey look fool you: the Slime is a true Poison-type pet with a very special design. It is one of the rare pets in the game that comes with both an active skill and a passive ability, which makes it feel very different from most other companions.
A Pet That Only Lives at Home
The Slime is a special pet linked entirely to the Housing system. You won’t find it in forests, deserts, volcanoes or snowy lands: it only appears inside player houses.
That makes the Slime a very different kind of pet hunt. Instead of exploring dangerous biomes, you’ll need to prepare the right conditions in your own home and let time do the work for you.
How to Make a Slime Appear
To obtain a Slime, you must let a Crate of Bruised Apples rot inside your house. Each time one of these crates finishes rotting, it has a 20% chance to turn into a Sleeping Baby Slime.
If that happens, you can then attempt to tame it. The Slime has a generous 50% taming chance, and if the tame succeeds, the crate disappears and becomes a Captured Slime that you can use like any other pet potion.
What Does the Slime Do?
The Slime is not just a funny house pet: it is built around poison control. According to the game’s description, the Slime has both an active ability and a passive one, which makes it especially annoying for enemies who stay too close for too long.
Active Skill: Poisoned Spit
The Slime’s active skill is Poisoned Spit. It shoots a projectile that deals damage on contact, then continues with damage over time for a few seconds. On top of that, just like the Squid, it can also blind the target.
Passive Skill: Poison Trail
The Slime’s passive ability is what makes it truly unique. As it moves, it leaves a trail of poison behind. These puddles can slow down enemies, have a chance to inflict poison, and at Boss stage, each puddle deals 4 damage per tick.
In other words, the Slime turns the battlefield into a toxic zone: it can pressure enemies from range with Poisoned Spit, then control space simply by moving around and covering the ground in poison.
A Slow but Rewarding Pet Hunt
The Slime is not a pet you find by rushing through the map. It is a pet for patient players: leave the right crate in your house, wait for it to rot, and hope it turns into a sleeping Slime instead of ordinary rot.
Because it can only be found at home, and because its skill kit combines projectile poison, blindness and a poison trail, the Slime feels like one of the most original pets ever added to Taming.io.
