A new legend has risen from the lava: the Fire Dragon Boss is here! This powerful Dragon / Fire-type boss slumbers deep inside the Volcano biome, guarding the skies above rivers of lava. He is a permanent boss of this biome, if you want your own baby Fire Dragons, you’ll have to brave the volcano and wake him up.

What is the Fire Dragon Boss?

The Fire Dragon is a Legendary Dragon / Fire-type boss that rules over the Volcano biome. Like other bosses in Taming.io, it is a heavy, mountable creature and uses a powerful fire-based skill to burn and repel anyone who dares to disturb its sleep.

Normal Fire Dragons can be tamed as pets, but the Boss Fire Dragon is your main gateway to them: you must defeat him first if you want to unlock and tame baby Fire Dragons.

Sleeping on the Lava Rock

You will find the Fire Dragon Boss asleep on a rocky platform in the heart of the Volcano biome. As long as he sleeps, the area is strangely calm… but if you decide to wake him up, the entire volcano turns into a deadly arena.

Raining Fireballs

The moment you attack or get too close, the Fire Dragon lets out a roar and enters an enraged state: fireballs start falling from the sky all around the area.

• Fireballs deal heavy damage on impact.
• They can quickly eliminate careless tamers and pets.
• Standing still is almost a death sentence, you must keep moving and watch the sky.

Fire Laser from the Skies

Once awakened, the Fire Dragon can also take off and fly above the battlefield. From the air, it unleashes a terrifying attack: a fire laser that locks onto its enemies.

The laser has two effects:

• It deals direct damage to any target caught in the beam.
• It burns the ground, leaving blazing lines of fire behind.

Anyone who walks on the scorched ground afterwards will take damage over time, turning the entire arena into a dangerous maze of burning tiles.

Blazing Fire Breath

The Fire Dragon’s core ability is a devastating fire breath / beam that combines area denial and damage over time. Used from the ground or from the air, it can control large zones of the battlefield and punish anyone who missteps into the flames.

How to Fight the Fire Dragon Boss

Before challenging the Fire Dragon on his lava rock, keep these tips in mind:

• Keep an eye on both the sky (for falling fireballs) and the ground (for burning tiles).
• Use fast or ranged pets to reposition quickly and attack from safer angles.
• Bring healing items and defensive tools to survive the continuous burn damage.
• If you play in a team, coordinate: one player can bait the fire laser while others focus on dealing damage.

Unlocking Baby Fire Dragons

If you manage to defeat the Fire Dragon Boss, you’ll unlock the possibility to encounter and tame baby Fire Dragons.

These baby Fire Dragons can then be raised into mountable legendary pets with strong Dragon / Fire stats and their own powerful fire skills, perfect for aggressive tamers who love to control the battlefield with flames.
